Police have arrested 18-year-old Cinthya Cisneros and 18-year-old Mario Echeverria in connection with the crash that killed two girls Sunday night in Forest Grove.
Acting on a tip, Forest Grove police located the SUV that hit the girls while they were playing in a pile of leaves in front of their house.
Police allege that Cisneros was driving and Echeverria was a passenger. When police first questioned them they didn't admit to the crash, but later admitted to involvement.
Echeverria was charged with Tampering with Evidence and Hindering Prosecution for tyring to help Cisneros cover up the crash.
A third person was in the vehicle, whose parents own the vehicle, and that person isn't being charged.
Anna Dieter-Eckerdt, 6, was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday night in Forest Grove. The Multnomah County Medical Examiner said early Tuesday morning that 11-year-old Abigail Robinson died Monday night.
