The Washington County courtroom was packed for the sentencing of Cythina Garcia Cisneros, the woman convicted in the hit and run that killed two young Forest Grove girls.
The judge ruled Garcia Cisneros spend three years on probation with 250 hours community service.
Many of the observers were in tears as Garcia Cisneros apologized.
She could still face deportation. She's being placed in Federal custody and will go to Tacoma for the proceedings. She came to the U.S. illegally as a child. Under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program she was allowed to stay; however, certain convictions aren't allowed under the program and might lead to her deportation.
