Katy Perry's 'WITNESS' Tour Pushed Back Due To 'Production Delays'

Sorry KatyCats! Katy Perry has delayed her WITNESS tour, due to “unavoidable production” problems.

The much-anticipated tour was supposed to begin on Sept. 7 in Columbus, Ohio. Unfortunately, it's not going to kick off until Sept. 19 in Montreal, Canada. Moreover, Perry's Buffalo show has been completely cancelled, while the majority of her other shows have just been rescheduled, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Perry explained the sudden change about her tour in an Instagram post on Thursday (Aug. 17) morning. “Due to unavoidable production delays, major elements of my tour stage design could not be available for me to rehearse on until this week,” the singer said.

The statement continues: “I’ll be spending the next few weeks taking the time to properly prepare the show to be an experience I am proud to share with you. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but hope everyone who sees the show will agree it was worth the wait. My first show on WITNESS: The Tour will be in Montreal on September 19, and all the rescheduled dates are listed on katyperry.com/tour.”

Perry also announced that Noah Cyrus, Purity Ring and Carly Rae Jepsen will be opening up for her, once the tour finally commences. See Perry's WITNESS tour message above.
