Retro Vid: The Most Expen$ive Video As Of 1982

Gypsy was almost released as part of Stevie Nick's first solo album Bella Donna but she ended up holding it over for Fleetwood Mac to release as part of their Mirage album. But the timing for the video shoot wasn't great for Stevie who had just entered rehab to kick a cocaine habit. The video for this song was very ambitious and at the time in 1982 it was the highest-budget music video ever produced at the time. It used several locations including a highly detailed portrayal of a forest, and required many costumes and dancers. And it was the very first "World Premiere Video" on MTV in 1982.

Fleetwood Mac has joined the huge iHeart Radio Music Festival lineup! Get in on the presale now if you've got a Capital One card.
