When Jewel's debut album Pieces of You came out I had just moved in with my boyfriend (who would end up being my husband). I was becoming a grown-up woman cooking dinners in our shared southwest kitchen with the large open design. I remember this time so vividly every time I hear You Were Meant For Me or Foolish Games or Who Will Save Your Soul. I'm right back in our kitchen chopping, sauteing, and dancing around to Jewel on the boombox.
