Live your truth, be yourself. YOU DO YOU. We all hope to live in that world now, but 35 years ago it was not cool or accepted to be different. That's why Boy George and Culture Club were so refreshing and fun, dancing and singing their way into our hearts and TV sets during the birth of MTV.
"The whole idea of Culture Club was multiculturalism, the spirit of tolerance, the spirit of all as one," said John Moss, former band-mate and boyfriend of Boy George.
"Think of the diversity in our band _ a Jew, a black person, an English person from Essex and a Catholic homosexual. That was Culture Club."
