Demi Lovato Gets New Tattoo In Honor Of Her Friend Who Died From Addiction

Demi Lovato In Concert - Detroit, Michigan

Demi Lovato paid tribute to her late friend with a new tattoo.

A week after losing her pal Thomas to addiction, the “Tell Me You Love Me” songbird decided to ink herself in his honor.“A T for Tommy. RIP you special angel,” the musician captioned an image on Instagram of the letter illustrated on her forearm. “Love you forever @sirtruss🖤💔 thank you for the ink @rafael_valdez.. it’s beautiful and I’m so grateful for this 🙏🏼🙌🏼”

The touching tattoo comes in light of the devastating news about one of Lovato’s closest friends who unfortunately lost his life after struggling with issues of substance abuse.

“Devastated. Please hold your loved ones tight. Tell them they are special and that you love them,” the vocalist wrote in mourning in an Instagram Story at the time. “Make sure they know it. RIP to my boo @sirtruss 🖤🖤🖤.”

She added: “Addiction is NO joke.. heaven gained this beautiful angel last night because of that terrible disease. I’m crushed and will always miss you @sirtruss. If you or someone you know is struggling please know it’s okay to ask for help.”

Thomas’ death hit home for the superstar, who, as fans know, survived a near-fatal overdose in July 2018. By the following October, it was revealed she'd been 90 days sober — and remained clean ever since with the help and support of loved ones.
