A golden retriever was caught on video following his owner up a ladder on the roof of his Portland, Oregon home, according to KOIN.
Vince Matteson was taking down some Christmas Lights from the top of his house until he noticed one of his golden retrievers, Ace, was up on the roof with him, according to CBS This Morning. The owner checked the surveillance footage, which shows Ace climbing up the ladder while his other dog, Bo, watched.
“Ace climbs up this whole ladder by himself and is now on top of the roof,” someone can be heard saying on video. CBS hosts said that was the first time the two-year-old dog did so, as well.
After Matteson posted the video to social media, it went viral. Ace can be seen walking around carefully on the roof before the camera points down the ladder, giving a good idea how much the pet had to climb. He also posted a follow-up video him climbing down the ladder with Ace in hand:
