Dorothy's daughters, Deborah and her sister Jeanne, asked their mom when it was her time to leave this world, to send them a specific sign once she reached Heaven...a bird...a Cardinal. Dorothy passed away on January 9th at age 97. Ten days later the sisters heard something at the kitchen window...when they looked out, they saw a Cardinal sitting there. They went out to it and it was so tame, they actually brought it inside the house for ten minutes; they held it and pet it. When they took it outside to release it...it didn't want to leave. Interesting is that the word Cardinal, is rooted in the word for 'heart'. The Latin word, cardium originates from the root word cardo, which means heart. Watch the video below...it's pretty amazing!
