On Thursday, K103 listeners Scott & Alice from Tigard managed to stump Bruce with this question:

Question: Why are bananas curved?

Answer: Because they grow towards the sun. It's a process called "negative geotropism". Instead of growing towards the ground, the fuit grows against gravity, which gives the banana it's familiar curved shape.
