Here's you big chance to get rid of that old wood stove! If you're a Washington County resident with an old wood burning stove you want to get rid of, you can turn it in on May 1st and you'll get $250. The county's trying to get people to stop using old, polluting, wood burning stoves from 1986-1992, to help improve air quality. The stoves will be recycled. I had one in my last house, and when I removed it and tried to get rid of it, no luck. Someone finally took it to make it into a decorative planter in their yard. There are rules, so be sure to read them when you click below.
