Today’s song was originally released in 1978 but it really became popular when one Tom Cruise- aka Joel Goodsen- slid across the hardwood floor in his tighty-whities in 1983’s Risky Business.
Then again In 1986, when the song was featured in the TV series ALF during a scene in which Alf has his own Joel Goodsen moment.
The song is a sentimentalized look back at the music of the original rock 'n' roll era and has often been referenced as this singer’s favorite song. Though his “Silver Bullet Band” originally hated the song saying it didn’t feel “Silver Bullity”
