I Know That Song! The One Where Michael Yells "HEE HAW"

Today's "I Know That Song" song was a top five hit from 1982.This was the fourth of seven US Top 10 hits from the best selling album of all time.

The album was huge from the jump earning $134 million (from album sales, touring and other sources) in just the two years following the album's release.

The song was written in 1978 which is why it has an almost disco feel to it, much different from the rest of the album. And...It was originally written for his sister about her troubled relationship with her sisters-in-law.

Others hear this song as an angry attack on the tabloid press and others who hounded him. A struggle with fame and being misunderstood were common themes for this superstar who would have been 62 last friday. In this song he lashes out at those who take advantage of him: "They eat off of you, you're a vegetable."
