K103 Things To Do This Weekend, July 29-31

The Oregon Brewers Festival is happening at Waterfront Park after a two year pandemic break. Crack a cold one under the tents and toast to the cooler weather coming next week!

The official opening day of the new Congressman Earl Blumenauer Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge is Sunday, July 31. The Portland Bureau of Transportation has planned a free day-long party to welcome the community, pedestrians, and cyclists to explore the new bridge as well as many community spaces in the area.

The World Naked Bike Ride is Saturday. Peninsula Park is the lucky jump off point. It starts at 9pm tomorrow and where it stops nobody knows. Except those lucky enough to be on their front porch along the path.

The Portlandia Mermaid Parade and Festival at Poets Beach.

The country music tradition of The Oregon Jamboree will be going on all weekend in the town of Sweet Home.

Pedalpalooza is a festival of biking fun here in Oregon, running all summer. Most rides are free and open to the public. If you haven’t checked it out, there’s several events this weekend, including a ride at 10 AM on Sunday, starting and ending at the King Farmers Market at Wyant and 7th Avenue in Portland. There’s one month left to join the fun…see details at Shift 2 Bikes dot org.
