Just because Bruce Willis retired after his aphasia diagnosis, doesn't mean we've seen the last of him. Well, sorta. Last year he sold the rights to his image to an artificial intelligence company called Deepcake. It's unclear if he did this after learning of his diagnosis or before. So basically there's a "digital twin" of Bruce that can be used to make new film projects. But his estate does get a final say in what's done with it.
To make A.I. Bruce, Deepcake used content from "Die Hard" and "The Fifth Element" . . . so he looks how he did in those movies.
At the time, Bruce said, quote, "I liked the precision of my character. It's a great opportunity for me to go back in time. I could communicate, work and participate in filming, even being on another continent."
