Earl Guynes was just 22 when he got the chance to purchase his dream car, a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro. But as often happens, life evolved.
In 1982, Earl married his sweetheart, Mona. He became a father to her daughter, Jennifer. Two years later, they welcomed their son, Jared. With two little ones at home, Earl said it was time to part with his favorite but most expensive toy, his dream Camaro.
As the years passed, Jared thought about how great it would be to get his dadâs car back. Then after a particularly good business year, Jared did some sleuthing and began looking for a car like his dadâs. After 12 months he finally got a lead.
There was a Marina blue Camaro just 70 miles from home, but it needed a lot of TLC. For two years, Jared worked to restore it while keeping the secret. Then, this year, on his dadâs 65th birthday, Jared threw a party and recruited the help of a magician to reveal a surprise 41 years in the making.
