Stacey & Mike's Happy News: 100 Year Old Still Crushing Workouts at YMCA

Geraldine “Jerry” Leo is living proof that age really is just a number. At 100 years old, this Bay Shore great-grandmother is the pride of the Great South Bay YMCA, where she’s been faithfully working out for 34 years.

She credits her vitality to regular exercise, a Mediterranean diet, and avoiding red meat and smoking though she does enjoy the occasional Aperol spritz.

Jerry, lovingly dubbed “President of the YMCA,” just renewed her driver’s license and still inspires her gym mates and staff alike. With two daughters in their 70s, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, Jerry continues to lead by example.

Her advice for a long, happy life? Keep moving, eat well, stay kind, be happy, and live fearlessly.
