Rip City Forever Working To Keep Trailblazers in Portland.

Have you signed the Rip City Forever petition yet? With new owners coming in, there's a very real possibility the Blazers move out of Portland.

Former Trail Blazers Chris Dudley, Clyde Drexler, and Terry Porter, have joined Marshall Glickman, a sports executive and the son of Blazers founder Harry Glickman, along with other prominent business leaders to keep the Trail Blazers in Rip City. They're working with the Oregon Community Foundation to accept private donations to start work renovating or planning a new arena.

Glickman points to what happened in Seattle when the Supersonics moved to Oklahoma City. “They were reactive; they weren’t prepared,” he says. “And by the time they got their act together, it was just too late.

I think Willamette Week said it best, "All the things the Blazers have ever done to break your heart would pale in comparison to waking to read there were no Portland Trail Blazers."
