After years of baking professionally and perfecting her sourdough recipes at home, Katrina Blancaflor started a small home bakery and her husband, Ian, spent months building a beautiful farm stand for customer pickups.
But on the morning they planned to introduce the business to their neighbors, the stand was gone. Security footage showed someone loading it onto an SUV in the middle of the night. It was never recovered.
But then a complete stranger stepped in. John Adams, the owner of Adams Construction, saw Katrina’s social media post and surprised her with a brand new stand!
"I was so shocked it literally brought tears to my eyes. When we saw it we were like, 'Wow, that looks just like our stand.' It meant so much."
For Casey Adams, the project was never about recognition. It was simply about helping neighbors.
"She came up and gave us a huge hug, and you could tell it meant so much to her. Really that's what it was all about."
