Cath Bowie is a 78-year-old grandmother from Scotland who has officially been recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest female Fortnite streamer.
Cath started playing the hugely popular video game back in 2017 after being introduced to gaming by her grandson, and she’s turned out to be pretty good at it.
But the best part of Cath’s story isn’t really the world record. She says gaming keeps her connected with other people and has introduced her to an entire community she never would have known otherwise.
And apparently her grandson originally wasn’t convinced Grandma would find much of an audience online. She certainly proved him wrong. Today, she streams online as “grumpygran1948” and has built an audience of around 24,000 followers.
