U.K.-based blogger Megan Jayne Crabbe became a viral sensation last week after posting before-and-after photos that show her looking lean and athletic in the "before" shot and much softer and heavier in the "after" photo.
However, many trolls were quick to criticize the recovered anorexic for putting on weight. "Wait, so you just decided to RUIN your body?" one wrote. Crabbe has since been applauded for maintaining an upbeat attitude in her responses to them, but tells Us Weekly in a new interview that it's easy because she knows she's better off now than she was when she was struggling from an eating disorder. "I was miserable; I was torturing myself," she admits. "I was working out, like, three hours every day and eating so little.
I was hungry and moody and miserable and I still wasn’t happy with my body." The 23-year-old adds, "I never thought I’d be able to be happy in this body, this body that isn’t a size six, that isn’t super-toned and super-lean, but it’s soft and it’s comfortable for me."
