On Saturday, Fresh Express issued a recall of a large quantity of salads sold at Walmart stores around the U.S. after a dead bat was found in one of its mixed-green packages. "The deteriorated condition of the bat did not allow for CDC to definitively rule out whether this bat had rabies,” read a statement from the Centers for Disease Control.
Thankfully, the two people who ate the bat aren’t sick, and the CDC has determined that the batty packaging was likely “an isolated incident.”
