Another day,another unreasonable bride. The latest is a bride who actually had the nerve to call a guest and complain that they didn’t give a big enough gift. An Australian woman recently posted in an online forum that her now “ex-friend” just hung up on her after complaining about the woman’s wedding gift.
“She had a beautiful wedding, lots of guests, lots of wine and food. There were even fireworks when she and her new husband left – via yacht – to go on their honeymoon,” the woman explained, adding that all that luxury wound up costing the couple $250 per person.
It seems since she spent that much, the bride felt the guest should have given her a gift worth an equal amount, and since she didn’t, the bridezilla called to complain. The woman and her husband gave the bride $200 in cash and a $75 “designer candle,” which the bride actually requested, although it wasn’t exactly the one she wanted. Apparently, that gift wasn’t good enough for the bride.
“She told me the cost of having me and my husband at the wedding was far more than the miserly gift we gave her,” the woman said, adding the bride then demanded ‘another $300 cash’ to make up for the cost of their attendance.” The woman adds the bride went on to “nag at me for five minutes because I was speechless,” and then hung up and ended their friendship.
She sounds like a mean, angry woman. Can you say BRIDEZILLA?
