Fire Damages Homeless Camp On Sandy River Delta

A fire started in a homeless camp on the Sandy River Delta Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters had a difficult time finding the location of the fire, because there are no roads in the area.

They eventually used a raft with a motorized pump to get to the location. The pump was used to get water from the Sandy River to put out the fire. 

No one was hurt. The camp was destroyed.

Corbett and Gresham have responded to multiple calls in this area several large homeless camps are in the area.
