Ryan Stokes is a 20 year old musician who couldn’t have his band members over during the pandemic lockdown. So he encouraged his 55 year old mom to jam with him.
In fact, he taught her how to play drums. Two months later, his Dad joined in, picking up an electric guitar for the first time. It turned out to be a great outlet while stuck at home, learning to play and spending hours practicing together. But when the world opened up, they realized they had something pretty good.
Their band is appropriately called “Momma’s Boy”, with Ryan doing front vocals. They now have an album out called ‘Who Would Have Thought’, released in April. They’ve done numerous TikTok videos, and have won the hearts of the internet, now with 700,000 views.
