Stacey's 5 Family Fun Winter Break Activities

Sports, band practice, homework, appointments, commitments...there are so many things keeping families go go going. If you're like us, just finding a time when everyone is free is rare so we are very excited for Winter Break!

  1. Zoo Lights are a tradition for so many because they're awesome! Every age can enjoy them and you can go at your own pace. Plus the pics for the gram!
  2. When was the last time you went to a drive-in movie? 99W Drive-In Theater is showing Elf and Christmas Vacation right now.
  3. Cinnamon Bear Breakfast Cruise on the Portland Spirit is really fun for the littles. Jack Frost’s magic show this year will be performed by Scott Anderson from America’s Got Talent
  4. Dig PDX, the largest indoor sandbox in the PNW, is now open in Beaverton. Wish this was around when my boys were little they would've LOVED it!
  5. If you've got teens (or grownup kids home for Christmas) you might enjoy heading downtown to check out Portland’s oldest and largest food cart pod in a refreshed space and family-friendly atmosphere. The Midtown Beer Garden features live music, heated tents, bathrooms and a fenced perimeter with 24/7 security. Grab some smash burgers then head to a show or browse Powells Books. Maybe even take a selfie with Big Pink's new security robot Rob.
