What a song; the backing New Jersey Chorus and that huge voice of Jennifer Holliday? It's not something you ever heard on the radio. Of course it ended up becoming their one and only #1 US hit in 1985.
Of course THEN we started hearing those huge backing choirs in pop music like Mike & The Mechanics In The Living Years (1988), Michael's Man In The Mirror (1987) and Madonna's Like A Prayer (1989).
