I didn't know about Silver Lake until this past Saturday when I went kayaking there with friends who live nearby. It's just east of Castle Rock past the Mt. St. Helens visitor center, so I realized I'd driven past it, but never stopped to go down and look. It's a big lake with lots of camping, a resort, cabins, boating, fishing, kayaking, etc. The area I kayaked in has massive areas of water lilies, and we were lucky enough to find them flowering.
