A 37-year-old treasure hunter named Joseph Cook discovered a $40,000 engagement ring while combing in Florida with his metal detector.
Joseph immediately posted the video online in an effort to contact whoever had lost the wedding bling.
Two weeks later, he began receiving calls from an unknown number. While he initially ignored the calls, he soon realized it was the owner of the ring and the owner met him three weeks after he found the lost ring.
Joseph said he wasn’t upset about returning the ring, because he believes in karma. “It felt really good. I’ve returned $60,000 of stuff this year, but nothing even close to this before”
