A 9-year-old boy named Rivers Pardee searching for shark teeth in South Carolina found something far more valuable: a wedding ring that had been lost in the water a year earlier.
He and his dad took the ring home and cleaned it. After having it examined by an expert and learning it was valuable, they decided to track down its owner.
They posted on a social media page dedicated to returning lost rings to their owners and they got a hit!
Chris Beane explained he had been in the area with his wife Megan and in July of last year when Megan's ring came off in the water.
Chris surprised his wife with the found ring by re-proposing.
