Inside a no-frills warehouse, thousands of bags of high-quality dog and cat food stand ready, thanks to a volunteer team that gives from the heart. This isn’t just food storage. It’s a lifeline of love and compassion for families in need.
When money is tight, groceries often get cut to the bare minimum, and too often pets are the first to suffer. For families struggling to make ends meet, that can mean surrendering beloved animals to already overburdened shelters, or worse, abandoning them. The heartbreak is real: families torn apart, lives forever changed, simply because there wasn’t enough money for pet food.
That’s why The Pongo Fund exists. Every month, thousands of people turn to the Pet Food Bank for help feeding their pets when there is nowhere else to go. By providing emergency pet food assistance, The Pongo Fund keeps pets at home, where they belong, and ensures people have a little more food for themselves and a few extra dollars for life’s necessities. Because pets are family too, and no one should have to choose between feeding themselves or feeding the companion who gives them unconditional love.
