Everyone knows that Newport is the place to be on the last full weekend of February. With more than 150 vendors, the annual Newport Seafood and Wine Festival has become the largest event of its kind anywhere. From humble beginnings that started with 300 guests, a few wines to taste and a seafood dinner, the Festival has steadily matured into a four-day event with more than 25,000 attendees, scores of commercial and amateur wines, a comprehensive menu that showcases fresh, local seafood and other culinary delights, and a diverse selection of crafts and souvenirs for purchase.
