If the cat isn't spoiled rotten yet, try a "Catio"

Anyone with a cat knows the indoor-outdoor dilemma. Do you let them out? Do you keep them in? Should they have a curfew? Should they come and go as they please? The reality is cats should remain indoors — in fact many cities have laws that forbid roaming animals. So what do you do? Get your cat a cat patio. A catio is an enclosed structure built off the side of your home, accessed by your cat via a cat door, and by you via a screen door or removable panel. Cat patios are basically screened porches with lots of fun stuff for kitty to do — when they want to do it. Popular features to include are steps, ladders, hammocks, bridges, toys, plants, faux or real grass, sleeping areas at various heights, and walkway bridges which can connect to a catio in the garden, away from the house.
