Supplies Parent's Should Have on Hand for Coronavirus...Just in Case

There's no need to panic, but it's always good to be prepared, right? I ran across this suggested list of supplies recommended by the CDC to have on hand in case the Coronavirus hits your household. For parents, this is "just in case" shopping:

  • .Hand soap- Washing hands for at least 20-seconds with soap and water.
  • Canned goods in water- Like beans, tuna, tomatoes...the liquid can be used to rehydrate dried goods if need be.
  • Dried goods- Rice, lentils, oats, pasta and nuts...they last forever.
  • A few bottles of bleach- For disinfecting surfaces.
  • Cold medicine/prescriptions- Get your go-to cold and cough medicines and y an additional month of prescription meds... just in case.
  • Frozen fruit and veggies- They last a lot longer than fresh.
  • Baby food/formula/diapers- You’ll use it eventually.
  • Tissues- Stock up and treat yourself to the good ones.
  • Paper towels/toilet paper- Get enough to last 30 days, they’re necessities anyway.
  • Screen disinfectant- The CDC advises regularly cleaning "high-touch surfaces" ; phones, tablets, remotes, and screens.
  • Laundry detergent and dish soap- You'll still be washing clothes, dishes, etc...so load up.
