Our current health crisis is affecting everyone including our local charities, and one near and dear to my heart is Susan G. Komen Oregon & Southwest Washington. They’ve had to rearrange events like the Breast Cancer Issues Conference, which was scheduled for April 4th, it will be rescheduled, and the 14th Annual Lunch for the Cure has been moved from April 15th to October 7th, and registration for the More Than Pink Walk which was scheduled to launch April 1st, will be moved to a later date.The More Than Pink Walk is still scheduled for Sunday, August 23rd at Waterfront Park. I spoke with Andrew Asato, CEO for Komen Oregon & Southwest Washington, who says even though things are changing, their mission hasn’t, and they're still busy assisting survivors, newly diagnosed, those undergoing treatment, their families and the community.
