We're learning more about the highly anticipated "Dirty Dancing" sequel! Jennifer Grey is back, not only starring in it but serving as executive producer, too. "Lionsgate" CEO Jon Feltheimer described it as, "It will be exactly the kind of romantic, nostalgic movie that the franchise's fans have been waiting for and that have made it the biggest-selling library title in the company's history."
We don't know for sure who's returning yet but Grey teased that the team was "getting as close as we've ever been to" production and that she thinks "it's happening this year." We also don't know the plot just yet, but Grey did confirm that "There will be dancing. There will be a lot of music and romance."
A question on everyone's mind is if they'll try to replace Patrick Swayze. "All I can say is there is no replacing anyone who's passed — you never try to repeat anything that's magic like that," Grey has previously said. "You just go for something different."
