Stacey & Mike's Happy News: Kraken Helps Kiddo Search For Bone Marrow Match

A Seattle kindergartener is in need of a life saving bone marrow transplant, and the search for a donor is getting some star power.

A year ago, Isola Fiddick was diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma. ALCL is a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. She underwent chemotherapy and spent a lot of time in the hospital, and her dad says her favorite pastime was watching the Seattle Kraken.

Her treatment worked, and when Isola was in remission, she was invited to the Kraken's "Hockey Fights Cancer" night.

She got to meet her favorite player, Morgan Geekie, and came away with memories of what should have been a once in a lifetime experience. But Isola's lymphoma is back, and that re-sparked her connection to her favorite player.

The team recently posted a video on Instagram of Geekie sharing the news and he is asking fans to see if they're a match.

Stem cells are produced by bone marrow. A stem cell or bone marrow transplant replaces damaged blood cells with healthy ones. Isola's family is desperate to find a donor.

Joining the bone marrow registry is simple. You get a kit in the mail, swab your cheeks at home, and send the kit back in.

Isola's family hopes she'll find a match and be scheduled for a transplant in April.
