Thanks to Trevor in Hillsboro for today's story.
We always love a good, happy news story about an animal. In this case, we go to Maine where police responded to a call from a toy store where a peregrine falcon chasing a pigeon ended up trapped inside the store.
The Ellsworth Police Department responded to a "big hawk" inside a toy store downtown and arrived to find the peregrine falcon was looking out a window in an apparent search for a means of escape.
Officer Zachary Chandler said, "I've never had anything like that before, dogs sure, cats and dogs, but I've never had to go after a bird, especially not a falcon." Chandler was able to wrangle the falcon and release it safely outside.
