The leaves are changing gorgeous colors, Halloween decorations are popping up around the neighborhood and the smell of fresh cider donuts... We LOVE this time of year. So we've compiled a list of fun ways to spend the season including Pumpkin Patches, Apple Orchards & Haunted Houses OH MY.

PUMPKIN PATCHES & HARVEST FESTIVALS

Bauman's Harvest Festival in Gervais with the mazes, obstacle courses, rides, farm animals and of course, pumpkins. Not sure what passes you should buy? This chart can help. The festival lasts until October 29th. Our family has gone to Lee Farms since the boys were tiny and their fresh pumpkin and apple cider donuts are amazing! Enter to win passes here.

Leavenworth Oktoberfest It's a bit of a drive from Portland but it's a legit Oktoberfest in this Bavarian-themed town in beautiful central Washington. There are three weekends of Oktoberfest fun, but lodging books up early, so make your plans now.

There are A LOT of pumpkin patches here!

ORCHARDS A PLENTY

Douglas Farm sells apples and pears, and you can pick your own peppers, eggplants and tomatoes.

Bell's Orchards sells Gravenstein and Honeycrisp apples, pears and honey.

Smith Berry Barn has hard apple cider tastings.

Kiyokawa Family Orchards say they have 150 varieties of fresh fruit, and Sherwood Orchards has over a thousand fruit trees and dozens of apple varieties to pick.
