After a month roaming around the Greater Houston area with an automatic cat feeder stuck on his head, a stray dog is finally free of the plastic jug.
Teri Goodnight is a well known trapper in the area who works with local rescues to catch dogs who are too scared or feral to be caught by humans. Sometimes, the dogs have been on the run for so long that they don't want to come near people. She first learned about the dog she lovingly called ‘Jughead’ back on Oct. 26.
She was concerned that Jughead couldn't breathe or eat with the container on his head. Fortunately, there was an opening at the other end of the jug, so that wasn't the case and once she caught up with the pup, she used wire cutters to slice open the container and remove it.
Now, Jughead is being cared for at East Texas Hoof and Paw Animal Rescue in Livingston, Texas.
