NW Pilot Project: Housing Seniors And Creating Hope

For over 50 years, the mission of NW Pilot Project ]has been to help very low-income older adults - age 55+ find rental housing they can afford. 90% of their clients have an annual income of less than $28,000! With rents increasing faster than the fixed incomes most seniors live on, they’re the fastest growing segment of the homeless population.

NW Pilot Project provides rent assistance, transportation, assistance going through the apartment rental process, moving in, and providing ongoing support so clients can stay in their apartment as they age.

Almost all of their clients have at least one disability, preventing them from working a full time job.

NWPP is the only senior focused housing placement organization in Multnomah County. We met with the wonderful Laura Golino de Lovato, Executive Director of NW Pilot Project, to find out more about what the do and how we we can help.
