K103 Things To Do & Watch This Weekend June 7-10

The Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade, the grandaddy of them all, is Saturday starting at 10am. This year marks Vancouver's first float in 30 years. Designed by Vancouver’s Fieldwork Flowers, the float's concept draws inspiration from the fruit of the Pacific Northwest and the Grand Floral parade's history in displaying homegrown roses — but with a twist. The float will be covered in over 2,000 locally farmed flowers instead of roses.

Join Stacey & Scott Tom from 106.7 The Eagle as they MC the parade kick off inside the Memorial Coliseum. If you want to sleep in you can stream the parade on KGW.

The Dragon Boat Races! Teams paddle in one-of-a-kind Dragon Boats, hoping to be the first to grab the flag in a series of heats over two days, hosted by the Portland-Kaohsiung Sister City Association.

Grand Floral Float Showcase presented by OMSI will line up on SW Naito Parkway post-parade (3pm-9pm Saturday, 11am-4pm Sunday) so you can see them up close and personal.
