A mom waiting to drop off her kids at Centennial Grade School in Scio had a gun in the car accidentally fire.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office says the hunting rifle was in the back seat and pointed down when it fired.
The round went into the drivetrain and chassis. No one was hurt.
31-year-old Carly Herman was cited for Possession of a Firearm on School Property and Reckless Endangering.
