Folks still have a few days left to brighten their winter season. ZooLights — presented by U.S. Bank with support from iHeartMedia — runs through Sunday, Jan. 4, at the Oregon Zoo — after that, it’s lights out for another year.
The sparkly and whimsical Northwest tradition has been an especially hot ticket since the light display’s Nov. 21 opening, with attendance already surpassing last year’s total.
“It’s been a great run so far, and we hope everyone has a chance to enjoy the lights before we pack everything up for the season,” zoo events manager Mickey Webb said. “We’ve got a special 21+ only night on Saturday — ugly holiday sweaters are encouraged, and we’ll have extra entertainment and food vendors. Most of the remaining dates are Value Nights, and folks can enjoy a more leisurely experience at a discounted price.”
Plus this year, guests can take MAX to ZooLights for free.
“Thanks to our new ‘Ticket to Ride’ partnership, your ZooLights admission counts as your TriMet fare to and from the zoo,” Webb said. You avoid the traffic, and don’t have to worry about parking or fees.”
ZooLights is a special event and is not included with regular daytime admission. Members receive 20% off regularly priced ZooLights tickets. All guests, including members, must reserve tickets in advance. For tickets and more information, go to oregonzoo.org/zoolights.
