The Trump Administration is releasing funds to build a wildlife crossing over Interstate Five south of Ashland.

The Mariposa Preserve Wildlife Crossing will be the largest wildlife crossing built so far in the U.S. It'll cost over 33-million-dollars.

Fencing will direct deer, elk, bear and cougar to use the crossing, which will prevent crashes.

Students at Southern Oregon University have spent four years studying wildlife with the information being used to design the overpass.

It should be completed in 2028.
