"KC" is battling a liver disease and facing a life on dialysis. But she's got some pretty incredible friends who have been doing everything in their power to help her. They all got tested in hopes that one of them would be a donor match. Unfortunately none of them are. So they have been working to raise money and awareness in hopes that some kind soul in the Portland area would step up, get tested and hopefully be a match for KC. We saw this story on KATU and wondered if our listeners would want to be part of making this Happy News story come full circle.

Donate Life America says that more than 90,000 Americans are on waiting lists for a donated kidney. The average waiting time is three to five years for a deceased donor kidney. With a living donation, a patient might get it much sooner. KC is on the transplant list but her kidney function is deteriorating quickly.
