OUTDOORS

After a seven-month closure, the Lower Macleay trail is reopening at Forest Park. The trail, which starts at Northwest 30th and Upshur connects Macleay Park and the Wildwood trail.

It's that special Tulip Fest time of year! Get your day pass ahead of time as they no longer allow drive-ups at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm.

The Trillium Festival at Tryon Creek State Natural Area. Saturday April 2 from 10a-4p.

And of course the Cherry Blossoms are begging to be photographed at Waterfront Park.

ENTERTAINMENT

Dark Side: A Piece for Assorted Lunatics 8pm Friday and Saturday April 1-2 at Alberta Rose Theater. Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon with an accompanying dance, aerial and acrobatic performance.

New movies in theaters include Morbius, The Devil You Know and The Contractor.

SPORTS

The Thorns play OL Reign at Providence Park Saturday at 7pm.

Timbers play LA at Providence Park Sunday at 1:30pm.

Come support Portland Timbers 2, the club's second team. Back for the first time since the pandemic, T2 features a mix of first-team reserves and developing young players. They lost 2-0 to San Jose Earthquakes II on Wednesday then after road games at Whitecaps FC 2 and Houston Dynamo 2, T2′s next home game is at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 24, against Real Monarchs at Hillsboro Stadium (streaming on MLSNEXTpro.com).

Another junior Portland team will play this weekend. The Rose City Rosebuds roller derby team will play an exhibition bout Saturday April 2 at 5 p.m. at Rose City Roller Hangar at Oaks Amusement Park.
