Stacey and Mike's Happy News: When The Harbor Patrol Saves The Wedding

Thanks to longtime listener Janelle in Vancouver for sending today's happy news to us. Listen to hear a new story each morning at 6:40.

A Massachusetts newlywed is hailing Boston Police for helping "save the day" after helping him and his groomsmen who were all stranded just hours before his wedding ceremony.

Boston Police stepped up on Saturday after being alerted to a disabled ferry at a dock in the city’s harbor, which was scheduled to travel to Thompson Island for a wedding there.

The groom and the 13 others who were transported by the police boat only arrived 17 minutes later than expected, while the bride was never made aware of the situation until after she walked down the aisle. Police say they were happy they could help make it all happen
