K103 Things To Do This Labor Day Weekend

Actor singer and songwriter Ben Platt is coming to Portland. Ben, of course, is best known for originating the title role in Broadway’s Dear Evan Hanson. He’ll be at the Moda Center at the Rose Quarter on Sunday, September 4th. Tickets are still available.  

Go see a movie for $3 Saturday September 3rd as part of the new National Cinema Day. Major chains like AMC and Regal are among those participating. 

The Grand Prix of Portland NTT Indy Car Series is Sept 2-4 at Portland Intl. Raceway.

Portland’s largest outdoor art fair, The Art In The Pearl Fine Arts and Craft Festival is free…no tickets are needed. Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day, from 10 AM to 6 PM. Over one hundred artists show and sell work ranging from fine wooden furniture to beautiful paintings to photography, glass, clay, metal, jewelry etc.

Cully Central Street Food Fest, a day will be full of popular Asian street foods, live music and fun activities, local beers on tap and specialty cocktails. This event is free to people and pets of all ages. It’s this Saturday afternoon at Cully Central on Cully Boulevard in Portland

First Friday in Downtown Camas. The theme “Celebrate Art!” includes live music and dance performances Sept. 2 from 5-8 p.m.

Ukranian Day PDX is Saturday Sept 3 at Westmoreland Park. Live music, dancing, traditional Ukrainian food, arts and crafts, fun activities for children and adults, and prizes. All profits raised during the festival will go towards medical and military safety equipment for Ukraine.

The Mid-Autumn Moonlight Market is at Lan Su Chinese Garden.
