K103 Things To Do This Weekend June 2-4

The Pride Ride is this weekend. The Pride Ride commemorates World Bicycle Day and honors Portland's own drag legend Darcelle who passed away in March. The big change this year for Portland Pride is the Festival, parade and other big events have been moved to the weekend of July 15 & 16 so as not to compete with Rose Festival.

Speaking of which...

The Starlight Run is Saturday, a wacky warmup for The Care Oregon Starlight Parade Saturday night with Grand Marshal Poison Waters.

Oregon Brewers Festival Tap Takeover is happening at City Fair. We're so glad Rose Festival was able to save this beloved Portland event.

More Beervana fun is going down at The Portland Spring Beer and Wine Fest. And Grand Lodge's first-ever Brewfest!

If a fancy coctail is more your speed you gotta check out these two new bars...one down a flight of unmarked stairs with pink velour couches. Hello I’m in. Chef Gregory Gourdet’s Sousòl bar on SE 6th was just named by Esquire magazine as one of the best in the country. Esquire loves Gourdet - they named his upstairs restaurant Kann to the best list last year. Mendelssohn’s on N. Mississippi Ave also made the Best list of Bars.

NASCAR returns to Portland for a second consecutive year with races on Friday and Saturday, June 2-3, at Portland International Raceway.

To honor State Parks Day camping is free at all Oregon State Parks on Saturday, June 3. The free camping applies to tent, RV or horse campsites. The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department will also not charge day-use parking fees at the 25 locations that charge them on June 3 and 4.

“Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” hits theaters Friday and is expected to bring in up to $80 million in its opening weekend, with some analysts predicting closer to $90 million! There's also the fam fave Disney's “The Little Mermaid,” which is heading into its second weekend, and Stephen King’s adaptation of “The Boogeyman.”

Or maybe you're going to catch last Sunday's finale of Succession?! So good. So so good. If you've already watched and want to relive the moments there's this. And of course you could just watch it again.

Wherever you are Saturday, don't forget to look up! It's a Strawberry Moon and skies are looking good for it.
